Let's hope it can re-open as it would be a shame to lose such a good restaurant. Wonder how it started as it would have been closed with everything switched off.

Terrible news and one can only surmise what happened at such a quiet time in the resort  :(

seen it on facebook a  couple of days ago. looked totally gutted.
they are saying that it was deliberate.
they have done a great job of clearing whats left of it up and hopefully rebuild ready for the summer.
best wishes to them.

There used to be a Chinese/indian there before Hera and that also burnt down, must be a cursed that spot.  :(

Depends. Owner of building could have insurance, owners of business could have insurance

No insurance apparently.  A fundraising page has been started and is doing quite well

The photos of the rebuild on Facebook are looking great - lets hope they are back to where they belong for the start of the new season.

I don't believe it was Alan that set the fund up (its not the name on the Go Fund page anyway) I think it was one of their regular customers.

Also, I don't think anyone needed to perish in the fire for people to want to help, it's totally understandable. It's human nature for people to want to help and I'm sure the same people would help any of the well loved businesses in Kalamaki that might fall foul to arsonists or any other traumatic experience leading to the loss of their livelihood.
 :)

That's very true. I really hope they catch who did it.
