Al Fresco Alykes.
« on: May 30, 2019, 06:14:22 am »
It's our first time staying in Alykes so we're still finding our way around. We usually stay in the Amoudi/Psarou area but always liked the beaches up this way so thought we'd have a change.
Anyway, last night we walked into town from the hotel and noticed people sitting up on top with stairs leading upstairs so we thought why not?
What an amazing place, a great view of the world passing by and of the mountains. Better was yet to come however. The food was absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. The waiting staff very attentive but not in your face constantly.
It looks very modern and contemporary but still retains that Greek charm. The best night so far easily.
I guess some of you already know about this gem so apologies for preaching to the already converted.

We popped in there a few nights ago mari. I had a beef dish can't remember what and my wife had a chicken souvlaki. Both were excellent. The souvlaki was served on a weird kind of gallows affair which got us both giggling. The pic is a bit big I'm afraid. Wife's phone, I'll leave it there! haha

Went into Fishalida three nights back. A bit upmarket and Posey for us northern scum lol. Food was excellent and the location is fantastic. Didn't break the bank either which I thought it might. The house white was also very good and (I think) only about 8euros for 500ml. Worth a visit.
Sorry, got the house white price wrong. It was 8 euros for 1 litre.
Er, also the colour. It was Rose. In mitigation, we've been to loads of places and I've lost track.
